This now famous farm is a tribute to the founder, Ratibor Hartmann Sr., the son of Hungarian immigrants. He founded the farm in the 60s with a vision that ran counter to the coffee farming methods of the time: to conserve the forest and wildlife and introduce coffee cultivation. It is this preserved terroir that is home to the varieties that have shone in the “Best of Panama” since the 2000s, lifting Finca Hartmann into the small circle of world-renowned farms.

Today, the Hartmann family preciously preserves the natural treasure bequeathed by “Papa Hartmann”, and graces us with nano-lots that are always at the top of world production. Here is an exceptional example: a juicy, fruity, nuanced and complex maragogype.
