La Pastora farm is one of the farms managed under the Don Eli name, it is divided into two sections: Anfiteatro (Amphitheater) and Manzanal (Apple Orchard). Upon entering the farm, you’ll notice the crescent-shaped Anfiteatro, where this coffee is cropped from.

Anfiteatro is a crucial section of La Pastora, the premier farm of Don Eli, known globally for producing top-quality coffee year after year. La Pastora, one of the highest peaks in the Tarrazu region, reaches up to 2200 MASL and enjoys a unique microclimate influenced by surrounding peaks and the Pacific Ocean. Until recently, the area was too cold for coffee cultivation, but climate change, adventurous farmers, and new coffee varieties have transformed it into a region of exceptional coffee farms. Most farms on La Pastora sell their coffee to Coopetarrazu for a micro-region community lot. However, when micro-lots from this area are processed separately, extraordinary coffee is produced.

This coffee is notable for its extraordinary flavour profile and high quality, achieving an impressive score of 89.21 at the Cup of Excellence in 2021. Expect soft tropical notes of mango, sweet florals of jasmine and that unique body and tartness found in goji berries.
